Rinkside Rally: Applefest VIP Opening Ceremony: On October 12, 2023, we, the Flames, will be hosting a spectacular Rinkside Rally on the outdoor football turf of South Courtice Arena, marking the exciting beginning of Clarington's biggest hockey tournament, the Applefest. This one-of-a-kind event will unite all local hockey associations and stakeholders for an unforgettable community hockey, and Flames celebration.

Join the Unparalleled Hockey Celebration: At the Rinkside Rally, you can expect an action-packed and entertaining evening that showcases the very essence of hockey. Here's what you can look forward to:

• Mix and Mingle: The rally will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with an enthusiastic mix and mingle session, providing a chance to connect with fellow hockey associations teams, players, and coaches. We have invited elected officials, and all our community partners in hockey to participate (Zone, Toros, Eagles, Stars, Thunder).
• Lights, Music, and Food Trucks: As the sun sets and the lights come on, the excitement will be at an all-time high with a DJ spinning fun and upbeat music (radio edits) to keep the atmosphere lively. And let's not forget the food trucks to keep you energized throughout the event.
• Honouring Hockey Heroes: We will be paying tribute to some of our hometown's biggest names and shining a spotlight on the remarkable achievements of Allyson Middaugh, who recently received the prestigious Hockey Canada Award. Their dedication to the sport serves as an inspiration to us all.
• Group Photo Moment: As a symbolic representation of unity and the joy of the game, we will conclude the evening with a massive group photo of all players dressed in their respective team jerseys—a sight that will leave an everlasting impression. This photo will be used to help bolster our community's need for a new arena. 

Your Presence Matters: We believe that every hockey team and board plays a vital role in fostering a strong and vibrant hockey community in Clarington. Therefore, we extend our heartfelt invitation to all Flames teams to attend, we also plan on inviting all Clarington Hockey Associations to join us at the Rinkside Rally. This is a mandatory event.
