The Clarington Girls Hockey Association's Coach Mentorship Program aims to provide newer coaches with resources and advice from more experienced coaches in order to help them advance their coaching skills and improve the player experience.
Newer coaches in the CGHA will have access to a Coach Mentor who will assist them with practice planning, execution, and review as well as game planning, critique, and review. This mentor will also lead discussions and planning for coaches to better understand the connections between practices and games, such as how to base practice plans on team performance and game plans on opponent tendencies.
As part of the Coach Mentorship Program, if you are a new Rep/DS coach in the CGHA, you may be assigned a coach mentor to work with throughout the hockey season.
If you have any questions about the program or would like a Coach Mentor to work with your team, please contact [email protected].
If you are an experienced coach and would like to participate as a Coach Mentor, please contact [email protected].
