House League FAQ
What to Expect for the Season?
Get ready for an exciting season filled with the love of the game! Our typical house league season includes regular practices and exhilarating 5-on-5 games. Here's a breakdown of the ice times for each age group:
FUNdamentals 1 & 2: Two ice times per week
U9-U15 Teams: Two ice times per week, one game, and one practice
U18/U22 Teams: Two games per week
Each team will consist of 15 players and 1 dedicated goalie, fostering a supportive and dynamic environment for players to grow and develop their skills.
What's Included in Your Hockey Fees?
Your hockey fees cover a comprehensive range of essentials to ensure a fantastic season on the ice. These costs include:
-Player's Jersey and Socks: Your team jersey and socks will be provided, showcasing your pride in representing our hockey association.
-Ice Time: Enjoy ice time for practices and games, ensuring you get the most out of your playing experience.
Officials and Timekeepers: To keep the games fair and smooth, we provide skilled officials and timekeepers for each match.
-Insurance: Your safety is our priority. Rest assured, all players are covered by insurance during official association activities.
Additionally, a portion of the fees goes towards the development and support of the association, covering coaching and training certification, administrative costs, and crucial insurance coverage.
Can I Request Specific Teammates?
While we understand the desire to play alongside friends and peers, due to the high volume of registrations, we are unable to accommodate specific teammate requests. However, we do allow siblings to be placed on the same team upon request. Coaches also have the option to reserve two players. Our goal is to foster a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among all players, providing an inclusive experience for everyone.
Calling All House League Goalies!
Goalies are the backbone of every team, and we warmly welcome your talent to our house league. However, we have limited goalie spots available. To secure your place, we strongly encourage all goalies to register early to avoid any disappointment.
Registration Process: How to Get in the Game
If you are a returning participant from the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA), kindly register through the RAMP website using your existing account details from the previous season. New participants can create an account on RAMP, ensuring a smooth registration process.
Please note that only credit card payments are accepted for registration. Should you require a refund, it will be subject to a $75 administrative fee, along with any applicable program costs, as per our Refund Policy.
